While my ship is in drydock for some minor repairs I've got time to look for new books. Crosscut, my ship's carpenter, is building shelves in my cabin for these. Enough about that right now. How about a joke?
Q. Why do pirates carry a bar of soap?
A. So, if they are shipwrecked they can wash themselves to shore!

Thanks, I think, you scurvy dog. What's lame about it? Having a pegleg, now that's lame. And don't give me any politically correct landlubber whale blubber about using "pegleg". This blog is authored by a pirate captain for the love of dolphins!
